Default East Yorkshire Regiment Officer's - Cap or Collar ?

Before offering this badge for sale I just want to check to make sure that I describing it correctly. Not sure if it's a cap badge or collar badge. Measures 40mm tall x 35mm wide. Always thought that the silver and gilt collar badge was just the star and rose so wanted to be sure.

Thanks in advance

Are you sure you haven't measured in wrong? You have 40mm high by 35mm wide but it definitely looks wider than it is high.

It looks to be the same height as width.

Due to being old and confused (most of the time) I re-measured the badge , it has obviously shrunk during the course of the day as it now measures 35mm x 35mm !

You could just be looking at it from further away?
