Default 1 Recce Regt

Apologies for poor quality of images. On the left an Airgraph - personalised for 1 Recce Regt BNAF. Very good artwork with Humber Armoured Car, Recce Corps badge and a badge for 1 Recce Regt. On the right, my interpretation of the sign. I would presume that if presented in colour it would be a white equilateral triangle on a green/yellow shield - with spear and lightning flashes from the Corps badge superimposed.
Has any Recce Corps expert seen this design in any other form - a unit signboard, vehicle marking or a post-War commemorative shield for example?

HI Mike, as you've had no reply I can only add a negative. The only Ist Div recce that I have are the silk embroidered with the green and yellow arms of service and tan slip-ons with felt arms of sevice on them. When was the letter dated? Mike PS also misread your post, hey we can't all be perfect. Mike

Thanks for your interest. No date visible but the combination of palm tree, BNAF and Christmas 1943 would indicate c November 1943, the month in which 1 Inf Div went to Italy. It would be good to find an actual image of that sign in use, otherwise it might just have been a bit of inspired artwork for a Christmas airgramme.
