Default Original British Airborne Invasion Armband?

I have just come across this one on e-Bay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372577713891?ul_noapp=true

It is described as an original British Airborne slip on invasion armband, and is made from khaki rubberised material.

I have an original British Airborne armband/brassard, received from a veteran of 4th Parachute Battalion. It looks a little different, in that it is not of rubberised material, has single ties of the same material as the main part of the armband, and the flag is smaller compared to the background (see attached photos). Mine is the same as the examples shown in Lock's 'British Airborne Insignia' p.309 (also in attached photo).

The bidding is already looking quite healthy!

nor me, but a search for British Airborne brought it up.

I had already seen it, the seller buys and sells to make profit often not seeming to have much knowledge, he asks on many forums quite basic questions and has done for years. I think he is a member on here.

The Union Flag (Jack) on the eBay item is heraldically incorrect. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372577713891?ul_noapp=true
It should have the broader part of the white diagonal top left!

The gent in question is more than well informed and is an associate of the owner of the well known military auction house. No great secret, his name is shown on the listing.

In my years of seeing him ask lots of basic questions on many forums I would disagree, but as always that is IMO.

Just because he owns a dealers shop that does not make him an expert.

Because he asks loads of questions does not mean he does not already know the answers!, and none of us are experts. There is always another view to consider.........before reaching a conclusion.
