Parachute Regiment of what Army?
Perhaps the 'gent' was working 'undercover' for the French Resistance in the Montmatre District of Paris? Un-bl--dy believable!

I love the logic.
1. Gentleman was in the Paras in WWII 2. Gentleman owned this hat. Since it stretches credulity that a man might have purchased a hat for himself at any time after WWII, let us assume that this hat is a uniform item of the Parachute Regiment. Next up, we'll see the skivvies, Fair Isle jumpers, and fuzzy slippers from his RAF days. |
