Possibly given out at Earl’s Court in ‘57 ?

Looks like a simple Lucas factory ID badge - to employee number 50. May or may not be wartime. The wartime ones are normally a bit better made than that, often with enamel.

I found a picture online with a similar badge with an "0" instead of "57" next to a similar sized gilt and enamel badge with "LUCAS CIVIL DEFENCE" in the bottom section. I Also found a picture of a different shaped chrome and enamel badge with "AFS" at the bottom.

"0" and "57" makes me think there was a run of numbers, although its hard to see who or what would start at "0"?

And the WM badges don't say "LUCAS", you would have to know what the logo meant to connect it to the factory, so it seems unlikely to be worn by a non factory worker?
