Default another undentified button

I cannot find the makers initials G.K.L anywhere. The button looks 19th century i dont think again its military. looks sort of indian design.
Any help appreciated

Definitely not military, as you say. It does look Indian/Oriental but no idea exactly what it is. Maybe another "fashion" or dress button?

PS.... I assume the pentagram symbol on the back is a trademark rather than having connections with the occult

We thought it may be Asian as it looks like a opium poppy on it.
This button was actually found on the Gold Coast of Austraiia.
its 22mm across
just added another photo of the button
looks like an oriental dragon.

Your button most likely dates from the late 19th century. Buttons with oriental designs were made for the Chinese market by manufacturers all over Europe. Chinese demand for cheaper buttons brought down the quality. In the 1890s the Japanese entered the market (presumably with high quality buttons). The market crashed and European manufacturers were forced to dump their stock. The usual sizes found all over Europe are 16 and 20 mm, but earlier on bigger sizes were made in France.
