Rifles cross belt plates?
Help, can anybody tell me the difference in rank/type of plate...the one below I understand is WO's?

Hi Jon, that appears to be the flatish one. From images that ive seen, these are mainly worn by bandsmen and by cadets. They are the cheaper option.
There are also versions in silver plate and H/M silver, these are a lot deeper than the one you show, there is no distinction on who can wear which. It seems to be all down to cost. Off the top of my head cost wise :- flat one £30 s/p £75 hm silver £175 |

It appears to be the Sjts crossbelt badge which has narrower belt. The lions mask is worn without the backing boss . Also it doesnt have a backing plate as the larger version does. Silver plated,smaller ,the same size as the WBC badge. This has 2 screw posts e-w. The WBC has n-s screw posts. The full sized WOs and Offrs has 4 screw posts.
