allied correspondent titles
What period are these from and who would have worn them?Are they original?

Your badge is one of a series produced for use by the Control Commission Germany to be worn on the uniforms that the Army insisted should be worn by all civilians working in Germany in the immediate postwar period.
The majority of arm titles were the familiar curved form shown in the attachment and identifed which of the CCG's department's the wearer worked with. The second attachment shows the title worn by British Correspondent's, both that and yours omitting the word "War" previously used by press reps as the war was over by the time they were introduced. The whole series in the form shown were produced by the British General Post Office Stores Department, although local variations were often worn. Jon |

Thanks can you say if 2 where worn one on each arm or only a single on one arm?

Not clear from what I have found out so far but as all the others were worn on both arms I would assume these were the same.
