Pakistan made 17th/21st Motto?
Hi All
A forum member has put up some badge sales booklets up on his albums and it struck me that one particular type of Motto was identicle to the drawn image in the booklet from Pakistan (c1974).... see below. Were these made in Pakistan and supplied to the Regiment??

G'day Griff
Sorry to have been slow to reply but have been doing some research on regt postings before l replied. First let me say that l do not know if the Mottos as illustrated were mfg in Pakastan or not. However l have been back through regimental journals and come up with the following list of postings :- In 1978 the regt returned to UK after being posted over seas for 26 years as follows, From 1951 16 year in BOAR ( Germany), Middle and Far East 1969 to Northern Ireland at Omagh, Belfast and Londonderry. 1971 to Germany at Fallingbostle till 1977. 1977 RAC centre at Tidworth and also Bovington. 1980 BOAR Germany, Munster till 1989. 1990 Tidworth until amalgamation as QRL in 1993 Allowing that they have been in either UK or Germany between 1951 and 1990 I believe that it is unlikly that they would have had Mottos made in Pakastan. I hope that this helps. Regards Phil. |
