Default Chaplain's badge

Hi All,

I've just picked this badge up which was sold as a cap badge.

When I looked at the seller's other badges I changed my mind and thought it must be a collar badge however now I have it in my hand I'm wondering about it being a cap badge again.

Can anyone help? What have I got?

Thanks a lot,

Michael

Michael

Definitely a cap badge, collars are only 30mm tall.

That's great news, thanks a lot Paddy.

Out of curiosity, the leaves on the left and right of the wreath are very different in style, does anyone know the significance of that?

Thanks,

Michael

The oak represents religious glory and the laurel denotes a military association.
