Default Auction Lot just bought Advice on a couple required please.

Is the Para genuine, I hope so as it is why I bought the lot.
Are the two large RSF badges officers collars?
The Staffs Yeo with an 11mm Gaunt mark has been blackened. It is not dirty or tarnished with age. Has anyone come across this before on this badge.
Any comments appreciated.
Cheers
John

John you will be please to hear then that the para badge has the Gaunt die flaws visible, making it a nice pre-loved genuine badge.

Alas the rest of the haul is beyond my limited of knowledge to accurately assess.

Cheers……John

The Norfolk badge with the plinth underneath is Norfolk Girl Guides.

Great that the Para badge is good. I have a mate who collects Scout/Girl Guides badges so I will see if he wants it, its not of interest to me.
Thanks for the info all.

I have this pair as Royal Scots Fusiliers OSD collar badges - look similar to yours?

Yes Tim. I am just surprised how big they are. I have other RSF bi-metal collars that are about a quarter the size.
Cheers

The RWF OSD collars were likewise much larger than the basic grenades of the ORs.
I think I see a plastic RE in there? The Lincolns would need to be seen closer with the reverse to be sure.
The LRB looks to have been converted to a sweetheart badge. I am not sure about that Staffs Yeo. They are not supposed to have been worn with a KC to my understanding?
The bright brass RA badge would need to be seen closer. Usually such a shade of brass is not a good sign, unless it is a gilt officer badge.
Some Scottish clan badges in there as well.
