Canadian Scottish Regiment
I've posted this link as it shows a member of 1st Battalion, The Canadian Scottish Regiment wearing the large "soup plate" metal shoulder title on his battledress.

I collect D-Day articles and enjoyed your about your dad.
I couldn't see clearly the "soup plate" metal shoulder title on his battledress'' in the photo. Do you have a closer photo of one? Raymond |

See the link for an example of the shoulder title. These would not have been worn on battledress by 1944. http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/can...ment/index.htm Phil
