IMS Pagri flash help needed
Hi,
I aquired this photograph of an IMS (Indian Medical Service) liutenant c.1920's. I can tell it is IMS by his bronze collar badges. My question though is for info on the pagri flash on his helmet. Is this the flash for IMS and what would the exact colour be. Regards Steven |

Hi Stephen,
On carefull inspection you will note 7 vertical stripes of colour. A central narrow dark stripe bordered on either side by narrow light colour stipes. then a much broader band of same dark colour on each side and finally a medium size band on either side which is very light in colour, almost white. So I would say maybe at least 3 different colours present. Steven |

According to John Mollo writing in The Formation Sign the IMS flash was as follows with an example from a Wolseley in my collection.

Hi Stuart,
Thanks for your reply. This then clears up the question of the flash in the photograph. Now to find a flash for the collection. At least I know what to look for. Regards Steven |
