Default Green beret ... ?

Hello Gents,

Here is a green beret for sale on eb.fr ... I have a bad feeling with it: color, markings ...

Kangol introduced this manufacturer's stamp around 1950; also note the artificial leather sweatband which is never found on WW2 berets.

Hello Herve,

That beret is definitely post-war with that style of Kangol maker mark. Someone has taken the time to ‘improve’ the year in order to deceive others.

Save your money.

It was changed either in 1949 or 1950; in 1948 the old style was still in use.

I don't suppose anyone has a 1949 Kangol stamp to share?
