Default 3rd CLY collar badges

Not sure if they are WW1 or post-WW1?

Pretty sure won through both. I’ve got Denzil Mortimers’ WW2 collars of this pattern who was an officer but I also have the smaller officers collars versions of the 23rd LAC, 3rd COL and 4th CLY in my collection.

If interested I’d advise waiting until one of his regular sales held on that particular website.

I believe these are 3CLY 1939-44, and 3/4CLY 1944-1961.

Certainly no expert though; very happy to be corrected.

I've just trawled through 130+ pages of the Kent and County of London archive and they certainly appear to be ww2 ish.

Here are some photos of Great War period collars (the cap badge being c. 1910-1920, KK1846? [apologies; away from home at present so without access to the usual ref material]):

Note the 'SS' titles on the shoulder chains too.
