Default Dodgy Suffolk?

Had this cap badge-sized badge for a few years but never been sure what to make of it. It seems to have had some wear and tear, though it's a bit ropey in places (see die fault in pic #4) and may be dodgy, but what do I know?

Anyone care to offer an appraisal?

With thanks,

Thanks Andy.

My Suffolks knowledge is severely lacking. All I can say is it is exactly the same size as the cap badges of the era, and that is appears to have been intended as a OSD badge. It doesn't seem to have had been through any bronzing process though (in whatever form that may have taken).

Regards,

JT

Many thanks.

Were Suffolk collars the same size as the cap badge during this time; might that be what this is?

Yes, it looks like a standard OSD collar badge.
Cheers,
Alex
