F/S Dagger
My aunt gave me three bayonets, a 1907 Anderson, sword bayonet and the third was a real surprise, my grandfathers Fairbairn Sykes dagger. Thought this was long gone. Do have a pic showing him wearing it and always said I would love to have that. Dont know much about them, checked online it seems to be the third pattern. Cheers Brian

A very neat and correct WW2 3rd Pattern Brian, even more so with the family history. You mention an image of it being worn by your Grandfather, it would be great to be able to see this. Regards, Clive.

Unknown where this pic was taken. Looks like an American and French flag on the building. When blown up you can see the dagger as well as a pistol stuck in his belt. Appears to be a German cap badge on the front as well as a badge on the side you cant make out. Wish I had this belt and uniform. Cheers Brian

Hi Brian
The Pattern 07 Bayonet the maker should be Sanderson a number I have seen the "S" is hard to spot and the top sword bayonet might be a Pattern 1856 or 1860 but I am not 100% certain on which for sure the older ones sometimes give me a little trouble. Stephen |

FS knife
What does the "8 arrow" signify, other than it was British issued?
