All the best.

Dave.
Another badge, of the same and complete, that belongs to another forum member.

Griff,
Heres the pic of a (young?) YSL Volunteer in uniform. Cap badge is clearly seen, no collars visible, but the ST is - although difficult to make out at this resolution. Also included a brooch pinned collar (I forgot I had this one).

Very nice. I'm looking for those shoulder titles now, so if anyone sees them at auction you must tell me right away, don't tell anyone else, and don't bid on them yourself.

My best aquisition this year is not a badge, but meeting a collector who I had long heard about but had never had the pleasure to meet. It came about when I saw a badge in an online auction but needed some advice about. Robbie, kindly told me the best way to go about it by leaving my details in a well know London medal shop. He was kind enough to ring me within a few days and I've since viewed a small part of his wonderful collection at his house.

Perhaps not the "Acquisition of the Year" but certainly not far off! Just added this beauty to my Grenadier Guards Album!

Phil, I see David beat me to it. Just got in from work. If you google British Security Coordination it will give a brief history as David has shown If you are at Farnham on the 5th of Feb I will have them with me for all to see.
regards Jerry

My best acquisition is this Fusiliers Brigade / Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Officers Cap Moss Brothers Silver & Bullion Cap badge.

Superb. Slight mothing. Ebay wrongly Identified as WW2 Royal Fusiliers hence the lack of interest and the price of £46. The photos are from the auction.

These are mine I got them all about the same time

The cap is nothing great but the badge was a fairly scarce MacDougall made 85th officers badge first I have seen. Took me over 20 years to find one before this I have only heard stories about them.

The 85th officers sporran came with the cap it was not in bad shape and is typical for the type.

Lastly a pipers dirk which had fitted and attached to the handle a overlay for a 219th badge. The dirk is military marked and it and the frog was dated 1916.

But the best for me was a DCM group to the 25th Battalion named to 902010 A-Sgt. Alexander McIsaac it is the fifth I have to the battalion.

I have had a real good year overall really

Stephen
