Oval photo of an officer - WW1 period?
Found it at antique store and I'd like to know if it's a WW1 period. He was wearing Canada general list cap badge and collar set.

Hello SgtRock7, welcome to the Forum. Your account is active and open for posts.
In answer to your query, the officer's uniform and badges would indicate the First WW period.

SUPER photo in a very attractive frame, definitely 1WW period, and this officer is wearing the ribbon of a QSA(Queen's South Africa) campaign medal, earned possibly as a UK soldier or perhaps even as a Canadian.
Only way to know is to ID him (which could well be impossible UNFORTUNATELY!) & obtain his CEF papers. Are you able to remove the backing to determine if it might give a name ? Bryan |

Bill A & RCN, thank you very much for the information. I removed the backing and didn't see any.
