Default Sudan Defence Force Officer Badge

SDF Officers headress badge. Sterling hallmarked ES&S(Edward Stilwell & Son) Birmingham in 1925. This date corresponding to the formation of the SDF. Quite pleased to add this to my collection, it coming out of an auction here in the US mixed in with a group of other badges. Hope you also enjoy. Best Jack

They were normally worn on the helmet, a nice thing you have there and actually quite rare these days, very well done indeed.

Thanks Frank, had a camel or two in the past, moved them along, now wishing I had not. Nice grouping by the way.

Best
Jack

Never mind, you will get another, certainly not as rare as that big lump of silver!

Default SDF war graves, Eritrea

If anyone is interested I photographed some graves of fallen members of the SDF in the CWGC cemetery at Keren during a trip to Eritrea in April 2009.

Graham,
Interesting that they used the SDF Camel badge on the head stones.
Thanks for posting this
