Can anyone shed and light on the Harbour Police?

Only reference that I can find is page 23 of "Naval Cap Tallies volume II" by Wayne Mitchell.

Top of the page under Barbados;

"HARBOUR POLICE 29"

Not sure what the "29" represents, but it is a start I guess.

From Royal Museums Greenwich (1928-1939) :

A parade of contingents of the Barbados police force taking place in Bridgetown, Barbados. The shore police band is leading a contingent of the harbour police followed by a contingent of the shore police. The shore police wear Royal Marine style uniforms whereas the harbour police wear Royal Navy style uniforms.

In 1882, the Harbour Police Force was unified with the main land division after it had been established separately in 1867. Roughly 100 years later in the 1980s the Harbour Police unit was dissolved entirely.
