Are these badges genuine
I tend to pick up badges that l don’t see that much and therefore know very little about them so could forum members please advise the authenticity or otherwise of the following badges please.Also are the collars dockyard police? Thanks

They look fine except for the REV badge which I am unsure about and would need a close up of the loops first.
Cant help on the police aspect though. regards

The pair of collar badges (they are actually epaulette badges) were worn by the War Department Constabulary. They can also be found in chrome.

Hi,
The Maori Pioneer Battalion collar badge looks genuine, it has the Gaunt plate, but is missing the neck ornament in centre. This was often removed by soldiers as in olden times no ornaments were worn in battle. Cheers, John |

the Maori pioneers looks correct and has the necklace cut off as they were not worn in battle
