Your opinions on these two badges

The officer badge looks very nice, but... I would just question the fact that it looks 100% pristine, straight out of the factory yet must be at least 70 years old. I have never knowingly seen a fake of this badge but the first thing that struck me was the footed lugs, which look identical to modern styles of lugs on officer badges, usually made by Toye.
I would personally want more opinions because I haven't seen a badge quite like that before. Cheers, Alex

I dont like the Officer badge . The overlay is in the wrong place ,not central. 6 dimples showing one side ,7 on the other. Look at the crown on the front view,not central.
As Alex says absolutely pristine,as if has just been unwrapped.

I Agree with Mike H,
The whole central piece although from the rear looks well made, the alinement on the front is out the Crown is more to the left with a line of dimples visible on the right but not on the left, which must raise questions, and where has it been for the past 70 odd years, appears just of the press. Would look good in a collection to complete a hole at a reasonable price and marked up as that. Hiram

Overpriced indeed. I still think the BW officer badge is likely genuine. Being of three piece construction, the respective parts do not always align perfectly on any badge of such construction. I have an HLI officer badge with the parts even more misaligned. I also think it a 1950s era badge, which would at least be indicative of the construction style, quality and condition.

Hi All
I have to disagree regarding the BW officer badge. If a 50's example it would have been short lived before the QC badges came out and I have never seen a QC badge with footed lugs like that. I have a few post '53 BW QC officer badges as well as KC examples and have never seen one with footed lugs. Ten years ago I would have assumed it genuine but now I wouldn't touch it. I may well be wrong but if I was spending money on a badge like that I would want to be 100% confident it is original but this one gives me a lot of doubt.
