Port of London Authority Collars

Good Morning,
Just arrived Port of London Authority Collars. Can anyone tell me the time frame for use? please.

They are not collar badges. They were worn on the epaulette above the force number. They were only worn by the two lower ranks not by senior officers.

Chrome plating was introduced circa. 1935. However the badges also appear in white metal.

Thanks for that Dave. Since they're not collars, I assume it's possible they were worn until the force ceased to exist.

Yes, they were worn right through to the end.
