Default Free Fench Wings?

Do the S.F. Collectors like or dislike these?

Scooby Doo {P.T.} has something similar pictured on page 158 but not as well cast! Pin looks like a replacement?

Andy

"Insignes et brevets parachutistes de l'armee francaise" by Baltzer & Micheletti p. 69 shows a couple very much like yours, described as "Fabrication anglaise" or made in England in what looks like brass and silver and with orange or blue enamel or paint between the rigging lines and blue or orange enamel or paint on the shield. Also an unenamelled/unpainted "fabricage inconnue" or unknown manufacture. As these were locally sourced expect many variations.

Rgds,

Thomas.

Good morning Gentlemen,
beware "Insignes et brevets parachutistes de l'armee francaise" by Baltzer & Micheletti. This reference book is very much questioned by French collectors (incomplete, presenting restrikes and fakes as genuine item, etc...) and parachutists specialists and veterans. We have had a similar discussion recently on the French forum about a pair of these wings and it has unanimously been referred as a fake. I would personally pass on them but this is only a personal opinion.
Best regards,
Phil
