There have been some second hand copies of excellent reference books offered on the Forum in the Classified thread in the last couple of weeks.

I am always surprised at what used copies of some out of print books sell for ,not only on E bay but on Abebooks as well.

I have just been well and truely out bid on a copy of the late Len Whittakers Home Guard book "Stand Down" which achieved just under £100 on E bay.

I can only say that you cannot have too many reference books and the more you know about the background to badges and other items that you collect, the more pleasure you will get from them.

I agree PB. By now, there is a copy of the regimental History of the 2nd Lothians and Border Horse during WWII which has started at £75 (3 times its regular price) and there are already bids on it.
