Faves are units I served in:

Princess Louise Fusiliers, an Infantry Reserve unit from Halifax, Canada, 1973 to 1978, and

The Royal Canadian Regiment, wearing Queen Victoria's cypher for 27 years, 1978 to 2005.

Rifle brigade = my grandads regt
The Hertfordsire regt = the county I was born and live

Thumbs up Favourite unit.

I am interested in the RAMC ( Grandad served in WW1).
RASC ( Other Grandad served in WW1)
Middlesex Regiment 2nd Footballers Btn. Great Uncle Frank served and was killed during Operation Michael at Bapaume.

Being REME and therefore get postings to everyman and his dog, the best by far for me was 3 years attached to 16th/5th QRL. Tidworth, Cyprus ('74 Turkish invasion) and BAOR (Wolfenbuttel). In fact we were not regarded as 'attached', we were a part of the Regiment. Wonderful years.
