Japanese PoW sketches.
I was given these photocopies by a friend when I lived in Melbourne, I don’t know anything about them, so I thought I would share them before they go in the bin as they may be of interest to someone.

I would like to save them from the bin, if possible

They are fabulous. The detail shows a high degree of both skill and patience. Thanks for posting.
Cheers James

G'day Mercian
They are great and I would be happy to give them a home at the Upwey/Belgrave RSL, Running Rabbits Military Museum where I volunteer. We are a MAP, ie Museums Australia Accredited museum. Regards Phil. |

Sorry chap’s Norfolk Reg Man got in first and I have promised them to him. I got them from a friend who lived in Ballan, he was an old RAN man who was at the Japanese surrender. I scanned them full size so I am sure that you can download them and print them out.

Japanese PoW sketches
I'm not sure who the artist was, but these sketches would be welcomed in the east of England, 18th Infantry Division was raised in this area, so I'm sure Norfolk Regt man will give them a good home.

Evokes memories of my uncle REME who died as a Japanese POW with 18th Div in 1945. Lest We Forget, thanks for sharing, Dean.
