Smile Today's Find

Hello all

We took the children to London for a day out today We came upon a little market and being an opportunist I slipped in There was a chap who had a lot of shell fragments, old buttons and bits and pieces that had obviously been "dug up". I entered into conversation with him and asked if any of his items came from the battlefields of France or the like. To his credit he (seeing my interest in the subject) didn't give any BS and said that he had found them all in the capital. Anyway I couldn't resist this little beauty which he said he found in the Thames. I often wonder about the history with these things........

I did ask him if he was a licensed mudlark (Yup I've watched the program on T.V. ) and he told me all about the licence types and the places that can no longer be touched. All very interesting stuff

A great day Eddie loved HMS Belfast. We went to Greenwich in the afternoon and HMS Ocean was in. Great stuff
