Default Derbyshire Imperial Yeomanry Helmet plate

I picked this up at Farnham last month. It was an odd one but looked good. It wasnt the regular Helmet plate but I found a quote in one of the Yeomanry books by Smith and Knight. I can't see why it would be faked if its so rare but what do you guys think about it?

I have never seen one with which to compare it, but generally speaking it looks consistent with the quality of badges of that period and I havent seen any fakes, so odds on its a good one.

regards
