Insignia Verification
Everyone,
I have decided to sell some of my British and Canadian insignias and before I list them I want to make sure that everything is legitimate wartime manufactured pieces. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Grant |

Hi Grant,
From your pictures it looks like you have a mixture on nice original insignia with a few reproductions. Just from a quick look, your SAS insignia looks to be WW2, and the Canadian Wings look like Type 1 Wings. Need a close up of the LRDG badge mate. The Brit para wing on the rectangle is WW2, the one below and the one of blue backing is post WW2. Also the Chindit badge is original. Paul Last edited by 3battalion; 05-05-20 at 03:38 AM. The Canadian parachute qualification wings look like post war types. Top one, looks like Joyce Type 9 and the bottom one Joyce Type 11.

Hi Grant, the LRDG badge is original and so are the two SAS early war wings.
The top wing is interesting as it has 9 feathers on the left but only 8 on the right side. Cheers Edy |
