Different coloured slides for the different sub units in training ?
If so it seems strange to wear a perhaps brightly coloured slide with a subdued "RACTR".

The Training ones are different bright colours on green

What about it being worn by civilian instructors? I attach a picture of a slightly different type from my collection- Driving & Maintenance Instructor, BAOR.
