Default 49th W. Ridings Div. Combination Sign

Have been organizing my cloth pieces this weekend. More playing than organizing actually. The weather here has been poor, so indoors for several days.

This 49th Division combination looks to be WW2 era based on what I can see. Am I correct in this assumption? Thanks Jack

Jack,

It appears to be sewn not onto BD material, but a blanket type material.

The use of this material is used by the fakers to hide the backs of badges or to construct false combinations.

The badges look OK but its my feeling they have been married up at some point to create a combination.

regards

Looks like material from a great coat which is perfectly acceptable. The badges do look ok

They look perfect to me - very skilful way in which the printed title has been sewn on. Mike
