Default Australian Police title

Please can anyone identify and date this title?

Was it worn before the Australian Federal/ Feral Police were formed?

Thanks, Stephen.

The design in white on dark blue was worn by Australian Police from various forces serving with the UN in East Timor in 2003-04. I believe they came under the auspices of the AFP who had previously provided all personnel for overseas missions?
I don't know when the design was introduced or if the badge you show can be dated by materials used.

I'm wondering if it is an earlier version of what I've shown worn by the Australian police contingent serving with the UN in Cyprus ("SkipCon" to the British).

Leigh,

It has the look of a 1960/ early 1970's Australian made badge. I was thrown by the lack of 'Federal' or 'Queensland' or some other name being included.

I'll ask the Queensland Military Historical Society members at their next meeting.

Stephen.

Default Shoulder Title

This shoulder title was worn by members of Australian Police performing duties of United Nations Civilian Police as part of UNFICYP United Nations Forces In Cyprus in 1973 when I was there.
