24th(post office) Middlesex Rifle Regiment.
Hello Guys,
I have here a 24th(post office) Middlesex Rifle Regiment Officers pouch badge. I have seen the picture of another badge in the gallery here on this forum, which is a beautiful example. However, my badge is different with regards to the back. Is this an out and out fake ....or could this be a sand cast badge. I know the 24th post office rifles saw action in both Egypt in 1882 and South Africa 1899-1902. Your thoughts please. |

Looks like a home made badly cast copy to me and certainly never worn in uniform.
regards

Thanks for your point of view Simon....I thought this post might have had a few more comments attached to it. To me, the front of the badge looks good....the back however looks to have been filled, which has also covered the voids between the finer detail, for whatever reason , i dont know, but thats only my thoughts. Would welcome any more views and opinions.
