Default Cape Corps Shoulder Titles & Fittings

I found these among my fathers old military badges with a tag saying WW1 era. They are complete with a hook hanger which I guess is original. Can anyone date them for me ? They are not really of my collecting interest.

Hi,
Your father was correct, these Cape Corps s/t do date from WWI as seen by the typical WWI style loops on the back. These did though find there way into use during WWII by the Cape Corps as well.

If they are superfluous to your collecting interest, I may be interested in trading something for them. What are your collecting interests?

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the information. If I decide to let them go I will let you now.

If I could say, if ever you do decide to move them on, I would be very interested in one of them. I'm trying to complete a shoulder title collection of the non-British Units that served in the 53rd Welsh Division in Palestine and the Cape Corps did serve with them in 1918. I posted recently on this so was fascinated to see your post.

With best regards

Jon
