French Para Brevet WW2
Here is a brevet I have had for a number of years within my French collection. I have alternately seen this referred to as WW2 d' Infanterie de l' Air as well as the 1st RCP. 1st Regiment Chasseur Parachutist. This may be a distinction without difference but I am unsure.
In addition to possible wear in WW2 it is also seen worn post war. I would like to think this is a WW2 piece but would be curious to what others may know or say as to it's period of wear. Thanks Jack http://

Hello,
paratrooper patent carried by the 601 and 602 GIA from 1937 to 1940 and then taken over by the 1 RCP. This patent will be replaced by the metal badge on June 1, 1946. Best regards |

Hello Grognard,
Thank you for the explanation. So it was worn in WW2 and a little past into 1946. With a connection to the RCP. Jack
