I think Peter remembers the discussion we had about his 1965 Lpl Scot Sealed Pattern. Its designation has clearly been altered and we learnt from an ex officer that the pre 1967 TA unit disliked it so much that they continued their last 18 months or so wearing the WM badge. After 1967 cadets were supposed to wear it but they got 'new' WM badges made for them in Pakistan.
But this doesn't really help with where the AA ones came from (the original 1965 ones were made by Gaunt).
(I'd have to look up my notes for full details !)

Hi Tim,

Do you know when these were printed?

I can see 1-1-74 in the bottom right of the page with the address but I think West Pakistan (as per Azam's address) had gone by then.

Chris, as far as I know the catalogues were printed in 1974 and I have had them since then. However, I did not order anything from the catalogues but have always assumed that the anodised badges were of poor quality.

I wonder what would have arrived if you had ordered No 96-Leinster Yeomanry from the Azam Brothers ?

Thanks Tim,

Interesting that they were still using the address of West Pakistan then.

Default Royal Dragoons

Here is a badge of the Royal Dragoons or Blues and Royals (RHG/D) with those small flat lugs. It came with the black felt backing so is possibly an arm badge?
