This was worn as a general list badge for the Canadian militia. Mazeas indicates gilt badges are officers, but there are a lot of them around.

hi guys
what do you make of the lugs? i have always thought this type of lug was suspect. seen them on a few fake aussie and british badges.
any thoughts/comments welcome

I have seen these 'big feet' lugs on South African WWI badges made by Tiptaft so very possible Tiptaft used there own type of looped lug.
