Default Identification of RA No1 SD Cap

Hi fellow badger's.
Could someone have a go at identifying this royal artillery SD1 cap please as this is the first time I've come across one with double red banding so I'm guessing it's not a general pattern issue.
Age on the cap would be nice too if possible, I guesstimate inter war but could be miles off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Kev.

Colours are indeed HAC, But why does the RA badge say UBIQUE at the top instead of H.A.C ?

Without seeing the inside I would say it looks late 1940`s,early 1950`s.

I once had a nice mounted medal group to an R.A. officer who had been in the HAC one time and who had the HAC ribbon on his T.D. even though he was R.A. when it was awarded to him.

I wonder if the hat might have belonged to a R.A. officer attached to the HAC.

Strange; as the badge worn on this cap should be in gilt, not bronzed.

The Badge definitely says Unique not H.A.C.

Cheers

I had assumed it was a dull gilt cap badge rather than a OSD one.

If the badge has Unique instead of Ubique in the top scroll then it really is unique.

Is it possible that the Officer was retired regular RA now serving in HAC and entitled to wear his RA badge on HAC cap ??

Actually Jim the badge does say Ubique, it's probably my crappy photo.

I think it is more of a typo on Jim's part!
