Default Royal Signals D.G.S.P.P

Hi All
Was given this by wifes relatives. I have found out that M.E.L.F is 'Middle East Land Forces.
Anyone know what D.G.S.P.P stands for.? Its defeated a few of the other forums I have put it up on !

"DG" could be Director General, "S" could be Samaria or Sinai, "PP" could be Palestine Police??

Given the context I would suggest that the "S" would stand for Signals.

If all the details were painted together in the correct order then surely it is going to refer to a bigger formation than Middle East Land Forces which doesn't really make any sense to me. Surely any Unit designation would have fallen under the command of MELF and would come before it on the kit bag?

We ,Queen's Bays were MELF whilst in Egypt 1947.
