Default Is this a picture of a time traveller :)

Is the soldier on the tank holding an apple tablet ?
And where was he picking up his Wi-Fi from in WW2 ?

Dunno, but I think those two blokes are going to lose the tug 'o war.

I think that it is a more recent photograph illustrating the under funding of our Armed Forces. Obsolete armour and noticeable equipment shortages as they clearly do not have enough shirts or vests for the tank crew.

Hhmmm! Bit of humour? With everyone else joining in? Or, serious question? Not good at figuring this out yet. Want to be of help, but hate to come off as some officious prat.

OK, I'll go with the serious question (someone can always bust my b--ls later).

Looks like the individual in question is the driver and he has one of his periscope vision blocks in hand. Removable for replacement or maintenance/cleaning.

of course, it could be his anti-malaria tablet! (I think they are smaller these days, but still big enough to be called 'horse chockers')

Could be a clipboard?

However, I like the idea of him being a time traveller with an Ipad

I really wish you lot would blow up the image

I did

It's a Standard SAT-NAV screen !!
(Back then it was called "Radar" and he's taken it out and cleaning the screen, lovingly)

If you lot read more books and brushed up on your history lessons, we wouldn't be guessing what he was doing back then.

He is a Tankie after all

Because this is the true angle of the photo?
(Or it could just be the down to the adhesive qualities of the pork lard being used in lieu of Brylcream).

Wouldn't it make sense if the two chaps on the tank got off to make it lighter for the other two to pull it out of the mud? I will never understand why people make things more difficult for themselves.
