Default Interesting Irish buttons

A couple of interesing Irish buttons, two different regiments I believe - both with gaelic writing , The smaller cuff button looks to have the QVC with an interesting back stamp. The larger no makers mark. Anyone familiar with these buttons / regiments ?

Not sure if they are military. They look like the buttons made for piper's jackets for pipe-bands.
Cheers,
Alex
