Default Aviation Reconnaissance Force

Based at RNAS Yeovilton and operating Wildcat Helos - the ARF's badge is the central portion (spearhead and two lightning flashes) of the Recce Corps on a diagonally divided square. This was new to me. Does anyone have an example of the sign? Mike

Marc,
Many thanks. I do like to see the Recce Corps badge perpetuated. The ARF badge is similar to that of the so-called Divisional Support Group which I formed and commanded in MND(SW) in Banja Luka 20 years ago. the DSG badge was made as a wall shield, but sadly not as a cloth sign. I added an Int Corps rose to the Recce Corps design and the motto "Seek and ye shall find". Grey background for Banja Luka Metal Factory! Mike

Now that would have made a stunning sleeve badge, but, sadly maybe confused with a version of the Yorkshire Recce beret badge.

Perhaps I'll get a retrospective DSG shield shaped TRF made for Old Comrades in four nations - it was a quadripartite unit - British, Canadian, Czech and Netherlands. The design was OK'd by the Recce Corps OCA. Mike

Although not a OCA member I would have one.

Grey was certainly the most appropriate colour for the BLMF!
