King Edwards Horse OSD
Hi Guys
Can this be correct as I thought the Officers bronze was like the one I have or were there 2 versions. Cheers http://www.mindenmilitaria.com/viewp...h=51648&phqu=2

I don't know Malc, but there were two distinct regiments of the KEH.
A nice badge whatever it is ! |

David ..... yours are quite correct ....by J & Co. I did have some small collars like Malcom shows, in the link to Minden, in Gm. I will dig out the pics if needed. If the Minden bronze is good... looks very mint..... then it probably had a short life?

Thanks Griff. I am not so sure about the badge mentioned by Malc. It looks die struck from the picture and that finish is something I have seen a few times now, but without blades on this particular one. The ones I have seen were painted to make them look like "bronze"... Its hard to tell.

Just so there is no confusion the badge I show in my first post is the one I own.
It is the one in the link that I refer to I don't recall seeing this in kk but I don't have my books to hand at the moment. I used to own a bronze like the one in the link but was told it was wrong, so did I get rid of a good or bad badge. Malc

To avoid a mistake, the bronze KEH which you questioned and is in the link you provided to a well known and respected seller, is NOT in KK - or at least there is no reference to it in bronze. So you are correct to question it and be suspicious. The OSD badge that you own (illustrated in your first post), is KK1509.........................
