6th Inniskilling Dragoons Victorian Buttons ???
Hi, im having trouble identifying the button in the picture. I cant seem to see it in Ripley and an online search hasnt turned anything up. Any help would be very much appreciated guys. Cheers in advance oh wizards of wisdom

This is 6th Dragoon Guards not 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons. I do not have access to my notes at the moment so I'll let others comment on dates,

Hello Tarabelle
Your button is the 6th Dragoon Guards (The Carabiniers), dating from about 1855 to 1880. Other ranks pattern judging from the style of construction. It is number 26 in Howard Ripley's 'Buttons of the Regular Army 1855-2000'. Regards Roger |
