I thought that they were yours, date acquired and number of badge in your collection. Or the same for a previous owner.

It may possibly be the same, but, for a store; added to stock on 22-03-03 badge number 37 of 200. A guess.

Not added by me and they didn't come from a collector. They were given to me by a friend. I think they came from a SAS member who he knew.
I wonder if anyone else has one with similar markings?? Any idea of age? I know i've had them for 10/15 years. Best I can do
Thanks for your ideas on it.

Regards
Irv

Default Both reall

The markings on the back were added by the manufacturer.
Originally made by Russell Kings Badges, or RKB.
Business sold to JKP (this person still alive so i will elaborate no further on name) where similar markings were used. ( as well as JKP)
I also have one with a price tag sticker on it but with RKB tel number on the rear.image.jpg

Jon

Hi Irv,

In my opinion it was probably fairly new stock when you received it. The badge seems to be dated 2003.

It is my understanding from a good source that the badges and berets were acquired separately by the regiment and the badge sewn on by the tailoress before the beret was issued to the trooper.

Default That is correct Jack

At one time she even had to go down into the town market to buy some badges locally as she had run out! I've a horrendous badge that I was lucky to get from the storeman who had not long removed it from an OFFICERS beret!image.jpg
