Northumberland Fusiliers, thumbs up or thumbs down
Hello
Bought this for a couple of quid. It's a different flame type to my others, same die as a Victorian/Edwardian looped badge I have, but this is not as good quality. Seems a little pitted on the St George. A WW1 manufacture? Thanks all for your time Chris |

From the back it looks like a metal Detecting find, that would explain the pitted or shot lasted effect on the front when you try and clean them.

Interesting observation Magpie, thank you for that.
Could well be, I've looked at some dug up bits online, and I can see what you mean. Thanks for your reply Chris |

Any other thoughts on the badge Please? Is a dug up item or is it just the finish on it?

Depending on the soil they can range from being near mint and a bit stained through to being eaten down to nothing of any use.

Thank you again Magpie.
Much appreciated. I'll put it down as a dug up one. Cheers Chris |
