And you know this how ?. That has to be one of the most ridiculous generalisations that I have ever heard. Do SF types now get issued with bulletproof heads ? Sorry but 34 years military service tells me that EVERYONE in certain circumstances wears protective headwear.

On Exercises they generally wear 'Crap' Hats or Bush Hats, In Afghan they wear all types of kit, but have you seen any pics of the SBS/SAS/The Det in Afghan wearing MK6a or MK7 helmets or ACH helmets? If you have seen any could you send me a link? in Iraq when part of Task Force Black then yes. In certain circumstances yes they do wear 'Lids' but I wouldn't say thats often.

I do know for a fact helmets are worn by our special forces in the ghan, the real reason i posted is that im after more information on them.
sf are wearing us gentex helmets where as sfsg are wearing uk made mich helmets, i do have a couple in my collection.
Still looking for others though.

Looks similar to the one the US have just moved away from!
US Advanced Combat Helmet (2009), I have seen grey, green and black.
