How come you've not mounted them in the correct order ?

This mounting is only "temporary", to keep them from getting damaged. I have 13 of these temporary frames and one day all the badges will be grouped correctly. Attached is the other frame for the Household Division less the Guards Machine Gun which is in a different frame. I know the order is important and when I have a complete set it will be done, First of Foot, Second to None etc.

I believe that badge is a Coldstream Guards pugaree badge post 1953.

I researched it when I first acquired it and it appears on several sights listed as such. Here shows second version which I assume would be officers/SNCO's.

I am sorry but that's totally spurious.
The pugaree went out of use in India and Egypt in WW2 when the Foreign Service Helmet went out of use. Interwar some regts on garrison duties did wear the FSH with a badge especially for parades. Post war the FSH was not worn by the Guards as the standard hot weather headdress was either the beret or floppy 'jungle' hat. |

I have not been able to find this badge listed as anything else. I have started a new thread on the "identify" page to see what other people think.
